Plants in Dominion Brook Park
The Friends of Dominion Brook Park Society maintains an inventory of the ornamental plants that grow in the Park. The original data came from government records on the individual plant specimens. A card catalogue was maintained by the Experimental Farm. Each card has the plant’s unique identification number, its species name, the date planted, where it came from as well as other information about its condition over the years.
The Society is starting to put this information on signs in the Park for visitors to learn about the history and provenance of some of our trees and shrubs. Over time we will add more plant signs in the Park and add information about these specimens on the website.
